First off, Happy Birthday Gerard Way!!! I’ve been studying for a Spanish test that I’m probably gonna fail, uuuughh. I just feel so demotivated after the last one I took. I’m gonna take it tomorrow. I’m not scared at all. Totally not! (I’m Lying.) Uhhh the last one I took was a 60-something even though I studied my culo off. I thought I had it under control, but I probably just rushed a bit because I wanted to see what the event that was going on outside was about. I won't go into too much detail though lol. I got a sticker though so blehh!! >:P
My Yung Venuz Plushie came and I'm so so happy about it!!! For those of you who don't know, Yung Venuz is a character most well known from his appearance in the 2015 roguelike video game Nuclear Throne, which one of my closest irl friends introduced me to in 8th grade.
I say one of my closest but I don't think I've ever been as close with anybody else, not in middle school at least. Damn it's been a while since I've seen them and they're in a completely different state now. I haven't talked to them since 2023 and now that I'm thinking about all of this I'm getting a bit sad now. I should try reaching out to them on Discord again, at the very least just to show them that I got the Y.V. plushie.
I'm really nervous that I might end up failing English, my grade is currently a D, but I need a C to pass. Now I know what you're thinking. "Nora, you're an English major! Why the hell are you failing English AGAIN?" Yes, I know I'm embarrassed about it. College has honestly been pretty rough for me and I don't really have any excuse. The first time I took the class it was online, which kinda screwed me up because online classes are hard man! This time I missed a few crucial classes and I've been kinda out of the loop when it comes to material on tests and quizzes, you know? That's really stupid but yeah, I don't exactly have an excuse for missing all those classes I feel bad about it. I got a 90 on this most recent test which is my highest grade in there sadly. I can still do this, I've got my essay and my funny little presentation which it seems like I should be perfectly fine doing on my new lil hyperfixation since it technically counts as literature, I'd say. Some of the other choices I've overheard were stretching the definition a little bit too, so I think I'm good.
As for the Spanish class, I just need to catch up on a shit ton of homework, these classes always have so much homework and it's honestly been overwhelming and stressful for me. Especially with two other classes where I'm having to deal with a good bit of reading lol.
There's not really much of an excuse, I just need to lock in for the remaining time I have. I can and I will. I got an A in Philosophy, don't know if I talked about that. I feel pretty good. I can do this, I need to work on getting my GPA up. Fingers crossed, right? Who's with me? This completely falls on me I just need to find the motivation and determination to get where I need to be.
I've got a few things I also wanna read for fun. I still need to catch up on Free Reign, I still need to read Amour Armageddon, (sorry Maggie) I need to read 20020 and a few other things that have caught my interest... I can't believe I'm actually getting back into reading, it's been what ten years? I need to finish Good Omens, the original book, before Season 3 comes out.
It's still super cool that they cast a Palestinian actor as Jesus, even though I know it's making some weirdos mad. I knew Neil Gaiman wasn't involved because there's no way he'd let that happen lol.
Anyways, I'm not really sure what else to write. If I can think of more stuff I'll add it.
I'm probably gonna try going to another event for art club if I can, I like hanging out with some of the people in there but I'm a little nervous always. ^_^ I'd like to get to know at least a couple of them better, and I still need to tell them I'm trans lol. Oops. I don't know how to do it it's awkward as hell because I'll have to ask if I can add my main account to the discord and instagram group chats uuuugh I don't know man!!! >_<

This lil guy has had his grubby little hands on the pulse of my life since at least 8th grade. At least once a year since 2019 I've had a phase where I was obsessed with him. I wish I didn't lose the video one of my online friends made of a Yung Venuz figurine being dipped in milk.
