I really don’t know how to say this, I didn’t think I’d have to be saying something like this for a very long time. A friend of mine from high school died in a motorcycle accident yesterday morning. 

He and I weren’t super close but I’d still consider him a friend. He was always incredibly kind to me. I can’t believe he’s gone. He was only 20, same age as me. 

I’ve just been having a hard time processing all of this. Stay safe out there, everybody. You are loved.

I’ve been kinda sleepy. I slept all day. Haven’t had any nightmares but I do feel guilty despite it all because my dreams have been reminding me of a certain someone who I miss a lot. I should try to reconnect with her but I wouldn’t even know what to say. On top of that I’d have to tell her I’m trans and… sigh.

Regarding Dreamwidth

So... The website I've been planning on migrating to. It's called Dreamwidth, and it seems pretty welcoming and active and fairly decent in terms of discovery and such. There's one miniscule problem and that's the fact that it's blocked entirely in the state of Mississippi, and while the laws on it in my home state of Tennessee are much more lax and the site is actually allowed here new users aren't allowed to create accounts unless they're over the age of 18, and I fear in the future it's only going to be much more strict. 

Here's what I am going to do, I'm going to continue to post my journal entries to this page, as well as Dreamwidth starting tomorrow. New entries will be going up on both sites, while I will be gradually uploading old entries to the latter. If something happens and I am no longer able to access Dreamwidth where I live I will have to resort to using a VPN or abandoning the journal on there entirely, so this one will essentially be a failsafe I guess. 

I'm still figuring out how Dreamwidth works, but it seems like it'll end up being the new home for my journal, while I'll be continuing to post it here for the reasons stated above.
