2020 days since December 31st 2020. 

2020 was a very important year for me. As I imagine, everyone’s lives were significantly altered that year. 

2020 was the year I realized I was transgender at the age of 14 years old. Now? I’m 20! I haven’t made much progress in my transition. I’m not on estrogen yet, I’m not even openly out to many people I know irl. 

However, we all have our own paths. I’m gonna be okay. :) 

ALSO MY GOODSIE PLUSH ARRIVED!!! I love Goodsie the Dinosaur from Lemon Demon!!! In fact it’s a week before the 20 year anniversary of the Dinosaurchestra album.

Like I said, I’m a little discouraged by the fact that I’m older than Neil was when he released that album. But also like I said, we all have our own paths. 

Neil’s been a big inspiration on my creative process since I was the same age he was when he really struck gold, but nothing I’ve come up with has been anywhere near as interesting or famous as his work. I’m sure I’ll get there though. :)

One of my favorites from him. Always has been even before it got big. Reminded me of my crush when I was 13. Seven years later I’m still too nervous to reach out to her about the prospect of potentially being friends again. Time is a flat circle? Everything’s gonna be fine.

Back on the driving grind! My instructor said I’m doing better! I feel better for sure! I was on actual roads with actual traffic and I think I did pretty good. I had a couple screwups but thankfully my instructor was there to stop the car to prevent anything from happening

I scheduled a meeting for an appointment with my advisor, so maybe she can help me out here.

Song of the Day: Lemon Demon - This Hyper World

My favorite song by the artist who really got me into music as a whole. Is that embarrassing? Probably but idk.

You ever really like a song, but then when your favorite artist covers it you don’t like their cover? That’s how I feel with Lemon Demon’s version of Birdhouse in Your Soul, but Self’s version of Ana Ng is pretty good. 

Glass Beach has a mid cover of Beach Life in Death, and I was never of a fan of Car Seat Headrest’s covers of other songs, they’re best when doing their own songs.

Oingo Boingo’s cover of I Am The Walrus is great. I really like Daniel Johnston’s cover of Got to Get You Into My Life. Who doesn’t love The Beatles, though? Even when their songs are being performed by other artists.

So so infectious!!!! No one really does it like Jack Stauber. I should really listen to that A-Side though.
