Dear Diary,

⚙ A grey town that stays cold year-round.

June was an okay month, I suppose. I got a new pet and I turned 18. Also, I changed my mind about the name being officially Finnegan. It's August for sure this time! Sorry for letting down my followers, this is what I want personally.  Being out of school and starting college soon feels weird, it's weird in a way I can't explain. I wish I could understand myself. My life is weird, boring yet weird. Also yes I chose the name August because of the cool hunter guy from Fear and Hunger 2, I've actually been really into that game lately.

It's no secret that I'm not a big fan of politics. How the fuck do I say something about this disaster of a debate? It's fucking miserable. I wish I didn't live in America sometimes, It's miserable. Trump or Biden? Really, neither but 🎶 If I had to choose 🎶 probably Biden. I hate to say it but I do enjoy having rights so I think I'll vote for him. Again, as much as I hate to say it. We need a presidential candidate who isn't older than dirt and doesn't want to take peoples' rights away, but it's one or the other it seems. Although Trump is pretty damn old too.

If all goes well, my favorite silly girl and I should be reunited… a month from today I wanna say? Not sure.

God, I watched that fuckin repo movie today holy shit it was ass… and I loved it. 10/10

I also watched May, which might be another instant favorite horror movie of mine. 

aaaand I listened to some Micronesian reggae album that ended up being pretty terrible. I know a lot of people don’t like reggae, and I am a huge enjoyer of it. But this was just garbage. Yawn. Goodnight y’all I’m sleepy.

My mom came home from Florida today. I’m still taking my break from the internet but I’m worried my online friends think I’m ignoring them on purpose. It’s not that. I love y’all, I’m just in an odd headspace right now and I need a break. I actually tend to go through something like this around this time every year in June. Not EVERY year but most years. I’m not sure what it’s about but this is just how it’s been since 2019, something feels different this time though. I think maybe this time I’ll keep my pledge of spending less time on the internet. I’m trying to take a complete break from it now to prepare myself to spend less time. Although I’m sure it’s stupid. I have a lot of reasons why I’m staying away from the internet right now, aside from this blog and a couple websites I use to rate movies and albums and stuff, as well as snapchat and psn for ppl to contact me in case of emergency. TURNS OUT DUE TO THAT PS PLUS THING I HAD LITTLEBIGPLANET 3 THIS WHOLE TIME AND DIDN'T KNOW IT. I HAD THOUGHT I MISSED OUT ON LBP3 THIS WHOLE TIME WHEN I'VE HAD IT SINCE 2017 AND HAD NO IDEA. I EVEN HAD ONE GOLD TROPHY IN IT OUT OF ONLY TWO GOLD TROPHIES I HAVE ON PLAYSTATION. WHAT THE FUCK?!

I've started watching Community again. Incredible show. Especially seasons 2 and 3. I never finished Community, only the first 5 seasons. Never got to season 6. I actually think I liked season 4 more than 5 tbh.

Dear Diary,

I need a lil break from the internet. I'm still gonna write these diary/blog posts. I know not many people read these, and I understand why. I just like writing them because it's fun. I've noticed I spend way too much time on the internet ever since the covid pandemic when I was 14 and it has affected me quite a bit. It's very likely the reason I was too scared to talk to the people I wanted to reconnect with. I was so used to interacting with people online I became afraid of real life interaction. That's completely my fault but it sucks thinking about it. I'm taking a break from the internet to assess my mental state and figure out how I can get better about that. I just hope graduation doesn't mean I missed my chance to reconnect with them.

Not to mention my regular laptop doesn't work, so I'm using a school laptop I got as a graduation gift to write these blog posts. But for now, I can't play video games on pc, which sucks I think...

I always could play on ps5 or switch... I have several games on Switch, and like 5 games for ps5... I have a few through the free ps plus games every month but not many because I'm stupid and always forget to go in and add em to my library. I have FF7 remake though!!!! :O That's cool because I was interested in that game. Thankfully I don't have to drop $70 on it now on PC because I already got it through PS Plus for free!

Had to take the kitties to the vet for shots today since mom is in Florida. They're my responsibility anyway. I think Buddha was scared because my mom couldn't go with us though. He's very attached to my mom. Nermal didn't seem to care. She was pretty cooperative. I don't know if that's because I was there or what, but yeah. She didn't even seem to react to the shots. I think she was thinking "Buddha is such a drama queen" which is funny.

So yeah, if you don't hear from me on Discord or Instagram, this is why. I need a lil break for a while. Thank you ^o^

Dear Diary,

I watched Godzilla Minus One today. It was actually really good. 10/10.

Even if you don't like kaiju films, I highly recommend it.

I fell asleep several times today, not much else to say.

I got the cutest cat ear headphones for my birthday that I still need to show y'all. They light up and stuff!!! I believe the brand was called yowu? They make fox ear headphones too I think... lmk when they make bunny ear headphones :3

Dear Diary,

HI, I DON'T HAVE MUCH TO TALK ABOUT BUT I LOVE THIS CREATURE I'VE BEEN SEEING ALL OVER THE INTERNET LATELY.

HIS NAME IS CAR AND HE'S FROM A GAME CALLED GARN47 HE HAS 47 FRIENDS AND YOU'RE ONE HE'S SO CUUUUUUTEEEEEEEEE

Garn47 is a game hidden in the files of a Friday Night Funkin mod. I don't like fnf but that's actually a really smart way of getting eyes on a game you're working on in my opinion. That's all I wanted to say about that, this is a really cool looking game and I'm excited to see where it goes. 

I forgot how good Justice's albums are aside from their debut. Woman and Audio Video Disco are pretty incredible as well, and Hyperdrama is one of my favorite albums to come out this year. 

I don't have much else to say, I kinda overslept, which I also did on my birthday. I was gonna watch Godzilla Minus One today, I was actually gonna watch it yesterday, but I fell asleep. Sigh.

I'm gonna countdown to something small this time, like the Kingdom Hearts games getting put on Steam, because I'm excited to be able to play them for the first time. (I only played Dream Drop Distance once in 2014, thought it was awesome and never touched it again.)

Also one more thing, I changed the name of this blog to Eleanor's Evil Bug Breakfast Diary, and I will be calling my Discord server Eleanor's Evil Bug Breakfast Club!  It's been work in progress for about two months now, it's currently a low priority at the moment. Sorry to disappoint. Every Discord server I've run has had lots of drama resulting in the servers dying. This will be my... 5th Discord server I wanna say? Let me think.

I saw The Garfield Movie in theaters too. It was... alright. It made me cry a little, but the Olive Garden and Tinder product placement and advertising was a little obvious if you ask me. Snoop Dogg should've been in it more.
