What Football Will Look Like In The Future

"On April 7th, 2026, people stopped being born. On the same day, people stopped dying, and people stopped aging."

I just finished 17776. I don't really know what to say. I've never been too into sports, and that's why I put off reading it back in 2020 when people were recommending it to me. Especially considering they were comparing it to some of my early MeadowHeart lore posts on glutenpee.

What a mistake that was.

It is a beautiful story, about the nature of play and human mortality. I think I'm gonna do my presentation for English class on it.

I love the space probes a lot, they're such well written characters and they aren't even human. Tell me why I'm now emotionally attached to a hunk of metal that's floating out in the endless void of outer space right now?

We may not truly become immortal in real life, and that's a good thing. We'd get bored fast. I do fear death a lot though, I have a lot I want to do in this life and I fear aging as well, I want to stay young and pretty for as long as possible. I'll love myself no matter what. I'll love others no matter what. I'll love the world and everyone in it no matter what.

I've been putting off reading or watching or playing a lot of things I know I'll like because I get scared of how they're going to change my life and my outlook on the world. I'm not quite sure how yet but I feel like 17776 has done that to me already. This happened with Hypnospace Outlaw in 2022 and ever since I've just been worried about like every work of fiction effecting me in some way like that one did. Hypnospace Outlaw was beautiful, though and I love the person it's inspired me to become but it's something that feels weird to deal with.

A tweet by toms_alp put it best. "I think the most beautiful part of the immortality day is that at least for today we can dream that our mundane lives will change to something spectacular. Tomorrow might be a normal day again. Or it might not. Who knows"

I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you.

New hyperfixation dropped sorry I'm going to be so annoying.
